Basically the cosmos is a single undifferentiated energy field. Physical appearances of stars and planets are simply manifestations of minor conglomerations of energy accumulations in particular localities. Abstract expressionism is a powerful style, and in this mode I enjoy letting-go and working freely with large brushes on all manner of backgrounds.

She is shown here with one foot off her lotus throne - leaping into action. Tara the Liberator works tirelessly to encourage individuals in this material world with their spiritual growth to enlightenment and freedom from illusion.

dragons

The Dragon is a symbol of wisdom and protection. In Feng Shui the dragon is a most auspicious creature which protects against malign influences. As the embodiment of strength, courage and wisdom it brings particularly good fortune. (detail)

I enjoy exploring Chinatowns on my travels in search of the perfect won-ton soup, and to but joss papers, figurines, almanacs, and other paper ephemera to combine into collages and assemblages.

birds

Image
In traditional Feng Shui applications, birds are considered powerful symbols of new opportunities that are there for you even in times of adversity. Birds can also symbolize  love and commitment (as in the case of Mandarin ducks), or abundance and good luck (as in the case of the peacock). Both artworks are gesso and metal leaf on canvas.
