loose brushwork

Abstract expressionism is a powerful style, and in this mode I enjoy letting-go and working freely with large brushes on all manner of backgrounds.

Tibetan Green Tara responds immediately to prayers for help. She is shown here with one foot off her lotus throne - leaping into action.
Tara the Liberator works tirelessly to encourage individuals in this material world with their spiritual growth to enlightenment and freedom from illusion.

Flowers generate positive “chi” (life force) within the home or business premises , and are associated with flowing Yin energies.

dragons

The Dragon is a symbol of wisdom and protection. In Feng Shui the dragon is a most auspicious creature which protects against malign influences. As the embodiment of strength, courage and wisdom it brings particularly good fortune.

collage

I enjoy exploring Chinatowns on my travels in search of the perfect won-ton soup, and to but joss papers, figurines, almanacs, and other paper ephemera to combine into collages and assemblages.

birds

In traditional Feng Shui applications, birds are considered powerful symbols of new opportunities that are there for you even in times of adversity. Birds can also symbolize  love and commitment (as in the case of Mandarin ducks), or abundance and good luck (as in the case of the peacock).
Both artworks are gesso and metal leaf on canvas.

fish

In Feng Shui fish enhance the prosperity and career sectors of our lives. Fish also represent the Yin element, acting to encourage flowing energy - thus ensuring that plans, projects and careers thrive and prosper.
